Institute of Applied Geophysics: An M3.5 class flare recorded on the Sun.
An M3.5 class flare on the Sun was registered on November 4. Scientists reported this.
"On November 4 at 03:48 Riga time, an M3.5 class flare lasting 25 minutes was recorded in the X-ray range in sunspot group 4274 (N22E72)," the statement said.
Solar flares are classified according to the peak intensity of X-ray radiation achieved. There are five classes: A, B, C, M, and X. The index specifies the intensity value of the flare.
Earlier in November, scientists reported that strong flares resumed on the Sun after a two-week break. On Sunday, November 2, an M1.0 level flare was recorded.
