Another sensation at the Ice Hockey World Championship: the Norwegian national team defeated the Canadian team in overtime.
The bronze medal match ended with a score of 3:2 in overtime in favor of the Norwegian team.
Moreover, with one and a half minutes left in the third period, the Norwegians were leading 2:0. However, Robert Thomas scored one goal. With seven seconds left in the third period, Thomas completed a double and sent the match into overtime. Nevertheless, in extra time, the Norwegian team secured victory.
It must be acknowledged that European hockey players earn less than their North American counterparts, but they play hockey better than Canada and the USA. The latter, let us remind you, was eliminated in the quarterfinals.
This evening, Switzerland and Finland will compete for gold.
