Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah has announced his departure from Liverpool at the end of the 2025/26 season.
— Hello everyone. Unfortunately, this day has come. This is the first part of my farewell. I have decided to leave Liverpool at the end of the season. I never imagined how important this club, this city, and these people would become in my life. Liverpool is not just a football club, it is history, it is spirit. It is hard to explain this in words. We celebrated victories, fought together in the toughest times of our lives.
I want to thank everyone who has been part of this club throughout my time here, especially my teammates and the fans. The support you have given me in the best times of my career, the fact that you were there for me in the toughest situations… I will never forget and will always remember this,” Salah said in a video message.
The Egyptian has been with Liverpool since 2017. The 33-year-old forward has played 435 matches in all competitions, scoring 255 goals and providing 122 assists.
