Lindsey Vonn Started Training After Fracture at the Olympics

The 2010 Olympic champion in alpine skiing, Lindsey Vonn, has started strength training after suffering a tibia fracture at the Winter Olympics in Italy. The athlete announced this on social media.

The American posted a video of herself performing strength exercises.

"These are definitely challenging times, but I am still grateful. I continue to work hard. The only goal is to recover. Step by step," Vonn wrote.

On February 8 at the Olympics in Italy during the downhill event, Vonn, who was competing with a torn ligament, caught a flag, lost her balance, and fell. The athlete was unable to get up on her own and was subsequently airlifted to the hospital. It was later revealed that she suffered a leg fracture and underwent five surgeries. Due to the injury, Vonn retired from her career in 2019, but in November 2024, she announced her return to the sport. The American is the Olympic champion in downhill skiing from 2010 and a bronze medalist in the super-G at those Games. At the 2018 Olympics, she also won bronze in downhill skiing.
