Norwegian biathlete Sturla Holm Laegreid, who won bronze at the 2026 Olympics in the individual race, confessed to infidelity in an interview immediately after winning the medal.
The biathlete tearfully confessed to completely stunned journalists live on air.
"Six months ago, I met the love of my life, the most beautiful and kind girl in the world, and three months ago, I made the biggest mistake of my life — I cheated on her.
It was the worst week of my life. Many will probably look at me differently now, but I can only think about her. Sports have taken a back seat in recent days. And it's a shame that I can't share this with her.
I knew I would talk about this in the mixed zone. I have nothing to lose. I had a chance at true love, and I ruined it all, I messed it up. It's not necessary for her to forgive me, but if there is even the slightest chance to tell her how much I love her, even if it kills me in the media live on air, I'm ready, just to get that tiny chance," Laegreid confessed.
