On Thursday, January 29, the matches of the last, eighth round of the group stage of the Europa League took place, determining all participants of the playoffs of the continent's second-tier club tournament.
The overall round was won by the French team Lyon.
The top eight teams advanced directly to the Round of 16, while the next 16 teams moved on to the playoff round.
