The bronze match took place in Casablanca. The regular time ended in a goalless draw. According to the regulations, a penalty shootout was then held.
The Egyptians failed to convert their first two attempts. The shots from forwards Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush, who play for English clubs Liverpool and Manchester City respectively, were saved by goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali.
Nigeria's first attempt was also unsuccessful. Lazio midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru could not outplay goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir.
