Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones revealed that forward Mohamed Salah apologized to his teammates for his interview criticizing the club and head coach Arne Slot after the draw with Leeds (3-3).
"Mo is an independent person, and he can say what he thinks. He apologized to us and said, 'If I offended anyone or made them feel uncomfortable, I apologize.' That's the kind of person he is. I can only speak based on what I know about Mo, how he treats us, and how he has behaved. He was positive. He was exactly the same Mo, with a big smile on his face, and everyone was exactly the same with him. I think this is just part of the drive to be a winner," Jones told Sky Sports.
The 33-year-old Egyptian was not included in Liverpool's squad for the Champions League match against Inter, which took place on December 9. The player accused the club of betrayal and stated that his relationship with Slot had soured.
