Football portal Goal has updated its ranking of the main contenders for victory at the 2026 World Cup among the 42 teams guaranteed to participate.
The update came after the group stage draw of the tournament, which took place on Friday, December 5. Another six teams will be determined based on the results of the playoff matches at the end of March 2026.
The top 10 main contenders for winning the 2026 World Cup according to Goal:

Germany.
Netherlands.
Switzerland.
Norway.
Morocco.
The 2026 World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19 across three countries: the USA, Canada, and Mexico. For the first time, the World Cup will feature 48 teams divided into 12 groups of four teams each.
