Everton defeated Manchester United away in the 12th round of the English Championship — 1:0.
Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye received a red card in the 13th minute. In one incident, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the play of teammate defender Michael Keane. Keane responded by pushing the Senegalese player, for which he immediately received a slap from Gueye, which referee Tony Harrington deemed unsporting behavior.
Nevertheless, the visitors managed to take the lead thanks to a goal from Kieran Dewsbury-Hall in the first half and held on to the winning score.
Manchester United's unbeaten streak of five matches (+3=2-0) came to an end, with the team sitting in 10th place in the table with 18 points, ahead of the Toffees on additional criteria.
