Latvian figure skater Denis Vasiliev finished ninth in the free program at the ISU Grand Prix series stage in Finland on Friday and ended the competition in tenth place overall, LETA reports.
In the free program, Vasiliev, who was also ninth after the short program, scored 134.63 points and maintained the same position.
The best result in the free program was achieved by Japan's Yuma Kagiyama with 182.29 points. French skater Adam Siao came in second with 164.48 points, while Canadian Stephen Gogolev took third place with 164.26 points.

This season, Vasiliev has already competed in one Grand Prix stage — at the end of October in China, where he also placed tenth with a score of 204.51 points.
The ISU Grand Prix Final will take place in early December in Nagoya, Japan, and will feature the top six skaters. Each athlete participates in two stages.
The best Latvian skater of this season also plans to compete in the Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo Olympic Games, World and European Championships, as well as the Golden Spin competition in Croatia. At this year's World Championships, he secured two quotas for Latvia for the 2026 Olympic Games.
Since October, Vasiliev has not been training at the figure skating school in Champéry under the guidance of 2006 Olympic silver medalist Stéphane Lambiel, where the 26-year-old athlete spent the previous nine years.
