Ponomarev: foreign coaches don't care about Spartak, they are in Russia for the money.
Former CSKA defender and USSR national team player Vladimir Ponomarev criticized the work of foreign coaches at Moscow's Spartak.
According to Ponomarev, foreign specialists come to Russia solely for the money, not seeking to invest effort in the club's development. "They realized that they can be paid colossal amounts here. They sign a contract for several years, and after that, they don't care what happens. They don't care about Russian football," he stated.
Earlier, on November 11, it became known about the departure of Serbian coach Dejan Stanković from the club. The Spartak management noted that they were dissatisfied with the club's results and the decision to dismiss Stanković was made by mutual agreement.
