The extraordinary plenary session for the approval of the new government has dragged on - ahead, after the lunch break, there are still 9 speakers. Moreover, the list of speakers is not yet closed, and it cannot be ruled out that other parliamentarians will also want to take the podium to discuss the new government, and most importantly - to remind voters of themselves, as elections are approaching... With a passionate speech, in line with the ideology of the National Alliance, the leader of this party, soon-to-be Minister of Education Ilze Indriksone, spoke. "Of course, we need to create suitable conditions for economic growth, and we must not hinder entrepreneurs from making decisions to earn, but always remembering that Latvia must remain Latvian, national, and with those natural and cultural values that are unique to us and unavailable in other parts of the world," noted Ilze Indriksone and continued: "We are certainly ready to tighten the requirements for entry, but we must definitely abandon the mass issuance of long-term residence permits. The economy needs labor, but if we continue to import low-skilled labor as we do now, the economy will not change and will not become more valuable. Because productivity is not about quantity; productivity is about wealth. It means higher salaries, of course, and greater profits for entrepreneurs. And certainly, there will be no tolerance for offenders.

I want to emphasize once again - the National Alliance will be guarding the Latvian and national interests of Latvia in this, as in all governments.
