The Union of Greens and Farmers will go to the elections as a broad coalition - the inclusion of other regional parties is not ruled out.
Tomorrow, the Union of Greens and Farmers will officially announce its candidate for Prime Minister. However, no surprises are expected - this political force intends to declare the Minister of Economics, Viktor Valainis, as its candidate for Prime Minister and, consequently, the leader of the electoral list. He is likely to head the list of candidates from the UGF for the Riga electoral district.
It is worth noting that the UGF is an alliance consisting of the Latvian Farmers' Union and the Latvian Social Democratic Workers' Party, collaborating with regional parties - 'Latvia and Ventspils', the Daugavpils Region Party, and the 'Honor to Serve Riga' Party. In preparation for the Saeima elections, negotiations are also underway for cooperation with other regional parties.
