Latvia is strong when we are united, said Prime Minister Evika Silinā, congratulating the residents on the 36th anniversary of the restoration of Latvia's independence.
She noted that May 4 is a day to celebrate courage. "The courage to believe in your country, the courage to defend freedom, and the ability to express your will," said the Prime Minister, emphasizing that this was decisive in 1990 and is just as important today.
The politician particularly highlighted that the residents of Latvia have the privilege of celebrating this day in a free and independent Latvia. "And this is not a given. It is not a gift, but a shared responsibility that we strengthen every day with our sense of belonging and care for each other and our country. "I am convinced that the strength of Latvia lies in its people," emphasized Silinā.
At the same time, she noted that sometimes, living through everyday life in one's social media bubble, one might think that this bubble is all of Latvia. "But we must be able to see beyond, because Latvia is strong when we are united," the Prime Minister emphasized.
