Shvinka Earned Well Last Year as Minister of Transport

Minister of Transport Aitis Shvinka (Progressives), who has been acting as minister since March 2025, received a remuneration of 95,450 euros last year, according to the official's declaration for 2025 available on the State Revenue Service's website, LETA reports.

Last year, Shvinka also received dividends from LLC "Ammolite" amounting to 50,000 euros, a remuneration for his position as parliamentary secretary of the Ministry of Defense — 21,987 euros, and dividends from other companies totaling 2,504 euros.

At the end of last year, Shvinka owned 860,524 shares of LLC "LIC" with a nominal value of 860,524 euros, 1,750 shares of "Ammolite" with a nominal value of 1,750 euros, 348 shares of JSC "Madara Cosmetics" with a nominal value of 2,175 euros, and 44 shares of JSC "Conexus Baltic Grid" with a nominal value of 44 euros.

Additionally, at the end of last year, he had a 2024 "Audi Q6 e-tron" car in his possession. Also, by the end of 2025, he still owned real estate in Riga.

Shvinka's cash savings at the end of last year amounted to 287,605 euros and 30,702 US dollars (26,129 euros) in "Swedbank."

At the same time, his debt obligations exceeding 20 minimum monthly wages set by the Cabinet of Ministers amounted to 7,133 euros by the end of 2025.

In turn, the loans issued to him, amounting to more than 20 minimum monthly wages, totaled 550,797 euros at the end of last year.

As previously reported by LETA, Shvinka was appointed Minister of Transport on March 6 of last year. Prior to that, from September 2023, he served as parliamentary secretary of the Ministry of Defense.
