The cash savings of the President of Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs, increased by 72,779 euros last year to 251,924 euros, and he invested approximately the same amount in bonds, according to the income declaration submitted by the president for the past year.
According to data from the LETA agency archive, at the end of 2024, the president declared cash savings amounting to 179,145 euros.
The president's savings in "Swedbank" amount to 216,472 euros, in "Swedbank Atklātais pensiju fonds" - 29,927 euros, in the Latvian branch of "Swedbank Life Insurance" - 4,325 euros, and in "Revolut" - 1,200 euros.
During his presidency, Rinkēvičs earned 105,109 euros last year, received 210 euros in interest from "Swedbank", 200 euros as compensation from the Latvian branch of the insurance company "Compensa Vienna Insurance Group", and 11,400 euros in interest from the State Treasury.
The president declared two bond purchases last year totaling 200,000 euros, as well as the redemption of bonds amounting to 103,750 euros and 103,350 euros. After these transactions, at the end of the year, he owned bonds worth 300,000 euros.
According to the declaration, Rinkēvičs owns two apartments in Riga and Jūrmala.
