The head of the parliamentary investigative commission on the fate of asylum seekers (refugees) in Latvia.
The head of the parliamentary investigative commission on migration, National Alliance MP Janis Dombrava, provided the following data on the social network X: "More than 60% of asylum seekers leave the asylum seeker center voluntarily. However, these missing persons are not reported as missing or as potential offenders. Only institutions record the fact of disappearance. Thus, over several years, several thousand foreigners have disappeared in Latvia.
About half of the missing are found in other European countries after some time, while authorities have no information about the fate of the others."
