The former Prime Minister is puzzled by Rinkevics' passivity in foreign policy.
Former Prime Minister and now Saeima deputy from the opposition United List, Maris Kucinskis, noted this evening in a live broadcast of the LTV program "Kas notiek Latvijā?" ("What is happening in Latvia?") that there has been chaos in the country's leadership due to the speaker of parliament's decision to sign a letter in support of Trump's Nobel Prize.
"I am surprised why the role of leader in foreign policy was not taken on by Rinkevics! After all, as a long-time head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he has the competence. But for some unknown reason, he has stepped aside on foreign policy issues," the politician lamented.
