The ruling party will exchange views on a number of "controversial" issues.

At the upcoming coalition meeting chaired by Evika Silina, the ruling party plans to discuss further actions in connection with the president's decision to return to the Saeima for correction a law that provided for compensation for unjustly seized property even before a verdict in the criminal case. The president agreed with experts and the Ministry of Justice that compensation cannot be paid until the judicial process is completed, during which the seized property may ultimately be recognized as obtained through criminal means.

The ruling party must decide whether to advance the consideration of strict amendments prepared by the Saeima commission, which, in particular, prohibit retail chains from imposing sanctions (monetary) for failure to deliver goods in the required volume if the retail chains themselves did not notify suppliers of the anticipated volume needed by the retail chains no later than 30 days in advance.

Partners are also expected to discuss the procedure for conducting crisis management meetings in a new format. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday.

It seems that partners may continue the discussion on whether to rush the reform of the oversight system for non-bank creditors.
