Former Speaker of the Saeima and political scientist Ilga Kreituse is facing serious health problems. "It’s not easy for us right now. At least we can go for a walk when it’s not raining," her husband Aivars Kreituss admitted, writes Privātā Dzīve.
Professor of the University of Stradiņš in Riga, politician, and historian Ilga Kreituse has not been appearing on television or on the airwaves of radio stations, where she previously actively commented on political events in the country, for some time now.
Not long ago, rumors began to circulate about serious health problems concerning Kreituse.
At the farewell to her former political associate Ziedonis Cevers, only her husband, former member of the Saeima and Minister of Finance Aivars Kreituss, was present from the Kreituse family.
In a conversation with the magazine Privātā Dzīve, he confirmed that his wife has serious health issues. "We are not getting any younger. In general, as it is — Ilga underwent very serious surgery. She is finally home after the hospital," Aivars said, without going into details.
