Director Alvis Hermanis published a tweet in which he shares his thoughts on the Istanbul Convention and its defenders.
"I haven't read the Istanbul Convention and haven't delved into it much, but it is impossible not to notice that the most ardent fighters for it are people and organizations who are just as passionately defending the greatest threat and cause of violence against women in Western Europe - the mass influx of migrants from barbaric countries. This proves that it is not the safety of women that interests anyone there, but something else. I wonder what?"
