Brief rains are expected in places on Jāņi Day, forecasts the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
In the first half of the day, clouds will cover much of the sky; however, in the second half of the day, the weather will begin to clear up. At the same time, in some areas, mainly in the eastern part of the country, clouds will bring brief rain.
The wind will blow from weak to moderate from the southwest and west. The air temperature will rise to +19...+23 °C, while in some places in Vidzeme, it will be a few degrees cooler.
In the middle of the day, when the sun comes out, the level of ultraviolet radiation will reach moderately high and high values.
