In most rivers and lakes of Latvia, the water has warmed up to 16-21 degrees, according to data from the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
In the Daugava River, from Pļaviņas to the border with Belarus, as well as in Aiviekste, the water temperature has risen to 18-19 degrees. A similar temperature was also observed on Friday morning in the Ogre and Lielupe rivers, while in Salac, near Mazsalaca, the water has warmed up to 20 degrees.
In the Gauja River, the water temperature ranges from 16 to 19 degrees. In other rivers of Vidzeme and in the rivers of Latgale, the water temperature is mainly between 15-19 degrees.
In the Lielupe and Venta rivers, the water temperature reaches 18-21 degrees, and in most rivers of Zemgale and Kurzeme, the water is not colder than 16 degrees.
In lakes and reservoirs, the water temperature is mainly between 16-19 degrees.
The sea water temperature is 11-16 degrees.
