In Latvia, at the end of 2025, there were a total of 10,005 children with disabilities. The largest number, 764, were 17 years old. Another 722 children were nine years old, and 703 were ten years old.

A total of 4,542 children had disabilities established due to mental and behavioral disorders, 458 due to hearing impairments, 238 due to vision impairments, and another 238 due to musculoskeletal disorders.

At the end of last year, there were also 4,495 children in Latvia whose disabilities were established for other reasons or where the type of impairment was not specified.
