Latvians have been advised to prepare for a new batch of snow.
On Wednesday, light snow is expected in the western and central parts of Latvia, starting from the southwest, with more precipitation in Kurzeme, meteorologists predict.
At night, snow will occur only in the southwest of Kurzeme, with a weak to moderate east-southeast wind, and temperatures will drop to -11 to -17 degrees, and in some places in the east of the country, down to -23 degrees.
During the day, snow is expected in many areas. In the eastern part of Latvia, no precipitation is forecasted, and the sun will shine. With a weak to moderate southeast wind, temperatures will rise to -5 to -10 degrees.
In Riga, the night and morning will be dry, with cloudy weather and light snow expected during the day. A moderate southeast wind will blow. Nighttime temperatures will be -13 degrees, and in the afternoon, -7 degrees.
