ATD announced a tender for the purchase of passenger counting cameras for 3.15 million euros

The Directorate of Road Transport (ATD) announced a tender for the purchase of passenger counting cameras worth 3.15 million euros to account for passengers boarding and alighting from regional trains and buses, according to information in the Electronic Procurement System (EIS).

Bidders can submit their proposals until March 2.

The procurement includes the supply of cameras, their installation, maintenance, development and implementation of a data transmission solution, warranty and post-warranty service using artificial intelligence equipment and solutions for analyzing passenger flow and more effectively ensuring control measures, according to the technical specifications of the procurement.

It is planned to install the passenger counting system in 816 M3 type buses with two doors and in 195 M2 type buses with one door. Cameras are expected to be installed in 73 carriages of trains. Additionally, to ensure service continuity, the supplier must provide a reserve of at least 5% of the total number of cameras.

The contract is planned to be concluded for a period of five years.

ATD is the implementer of a unified state policy in the field of international transportation, licensing commercial activities in the area of road transport, as well as public transport planning.
