Tonight, the air temperature in most parts of the country will drop to -14 to -19 degrees, with severe frost expected in the central and eastern regions of the country - up to -20 to -23 degrees.
Due to the frost, the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre has issued a yellow warning, which will be in effect from 8:00 PM on Saturday until 10:00 AM on Sunday.
On Sunday afternoon, variable cloudiness is expected, with no precipitation. A light to moderate eastern and southeastern wind will blow. The air temperature will range from -10 to -15 degrees, and from -8 to -10 degrees on the Kurzeme coast.
In the capital, at night, the air temperature will drop to -15 to -17 degrees. The day will be sunny, with a light to moderate southeastern wind. The maximum air temperature will be -12 to -13 degrees.
