On Sunday, the sky in Latvia will be mostly cloudy, with light rain and wet snow expected in some places, and ice will form on certain sections of the roads, predicts the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
On the night of Sunday, the weather will remain cloudy, but there will be very little precipitation – only in some places will there be a light rain or drizzle. The minimum air temperature will range from -2 to +3 degrees, so in some areas, ice will form on the roads.
On Sunday, a light to moderate southern and southeast wind will blow in Latvia, which will change to a southeast and eastern wind during the day. In the afternoon, there will be fog in some places in the east, and certain sections of the road will be icy.
The maximum air temperature on Sunday will range from 0 to +5 degrees.
In Riga, at night it will be cloudy, but without precipitation, with a minimum air temperature of 0 to +1 degrees. During the day, no precipitation is expected in the capital, a light southern wind will blow, and the air temperature will be +1 to +2 degrees.
