The upcoming night in Latvia promises to be cloudy and cool. According to LETA, citing the Latvijas Vides, ģeoloģijas un meteoroloģijas centrs, rain and wet snow will initially fall in the northeastern regions, and by midnight, a vast area of snow clouds will cover the southeast of the country. In some places, snow may accumulate to a thickness of 3–5 centimeters and could create an icy crust on the roads.
The wind is expected to be light or moderate, coming from the south. The temperature at night will range from -2 to +2 degrees. In western Latvia, fog is possible by morning.
In Riga, the night will start with partial cloudiness, but the sky will gradually become overcast, with no precipitation forecasted. The southern wind will be light, and the temperature will drop to around zero.
Monday will remain cloudy and damp.
During the day, cloud cover will persist over the country, although brief clearings are possible in some areas. Rain or wet snow will fall in many regions, and icy conditions may occur on certain road sections.
The wind during the day will be light or moderate from the south, but in coastal areas, it will shift to the west and northwest, strengthening with gusts up to 15–18 m/s.
The temperature during the day will stay within 0 to +5 degrees, and near the sea, it may rise to +7.
In Riga, Monday will also be under a gray sky. Closer to the evening, brief rain and wet snow are possible. The southern wind will remain moderate, and the air will warm up to +2 to +3 degrees.
