Outpatient appointments and diagnostic examinations will not be conducted at the Eastern Hospital

Today, on the rescheduled working day, outpatient appointments and diagnostic examinations will not be conducted at the Riga Eastern Clinical University Hospital (RAKUS), the hospital informed the LETA agency.

Accordingly, the unified phone number for appointment scheduling — 67000610 — will not be operational today.

In the medical facility of the Eastern Hospital, the working day on Monday, November 17, has not been moved to Saturday, and according to the usual order and schedule, both outpatient appointments with doctors and diagnostic examinations will take place on November 17.

The hospital explained that the decision not to move the day off was made to ensure the continuity of the treatment process, to avoid misunderstandings, and to eliminate risks associated, for example, with the need to reschedule visits and other circumstances.

The emergency medical clinic and patient reception, as well as the eye trauma center at the Bikerneki inpatient facility, will continue to operate without weekends and around the clock, providing emergency assistance to patients with acute conditions.

On the other hand, on Monday, November 17, outpatient appointments and diagnostic examinations will be conducted according to the usual working schedule. Calls on this day will also be accepted by the unified phone number for appointment scheduling — 67000610, which operates on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

As previously reported, two working days have been moved this year — Friday, May 2, and Monday, November 17. November 17 falls between Sunday, November 16, and the holiday on November 18. Accordingly, the working day on November 17 has been moved to Saturday, November 8.
