Last year, 704 adults who were victims of violence received social rehabilitation services, which is 193 more than the previous year, according to data from the Central Statistical Bureau, reports LETA.
Compared to 2022, social rehabilitation services were provided to 312 more individuals last year.
In 589 cases, the violence occurred within the family, while in 115 cases it occurred outside the family.
Of the total number of victims who received social rehabilitation, 667 were women and 37 were men.
Most frequently, in 270 cases, the victims faced psychological violence, of which 232 individuals were within the family. In 107 cases, it was physical violence (including 97 within families), in 15 cases it was sexual violence (in four cases within the family), and in 20 cases it was economic violence (19 of which were within the family).
Another 292 individuals experienced multiple forms of violence, of which 237 were in a family environment.
