Kristine Valdusa to Head the Trauma and Orthopedics Hospital

Kristine Valdusa has been appointed as the Chair of the Board of the Trauma and Orthopedics Hospital, the LETA agency was informed by the Ministry of Health.

Valdusa was selected for this position as a result of an open competition. She will start working on October 10.

According to the Ministry of Health, Valdusa is a leader with experience in production, planning, quality assurance, and change management. In recent years, she has worked in several companies, including "Aptiekas produkcija," "Sentor Farm aptiekas," and "Latvijas aptieka" in both managerial positions and as a department head. Her job responsibilities were related to human resources, strategic planning, and achieving company goals.

Valdusa is also a lecturer at the Red Cross Medical College of the University of Latvia, where she teaches the course "Practical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Legislation."

Valdusa holds a Master's degree in Social Sciences and a Master's degree in Health Sciences from the University of Latvia.

Eight applications were submitted for the position of Chair of the Board of the Trauma and Orthopedics Hospital. The competition took place in three rounds.
