The British woman included a razor and shampoo in her emergency suitcase for the end of the world.
A resident of the United Kingdom showcased the contents of her emergency suitcase, assembled for the end of the world. This was reported by the Daily Mail.
38-year-old Sophie Poland, who grew up in a Jehovah's Witness family where discussions about the impending Armageddon were common, admitted that the start of the Russia-Ukraine conflict prompted her to create the emergency kit. "Due to the news and social media, I was convinced that something terrible was going to happen," Poland said. The British woman prepared a bag with essential items in case of a third world war. The total cost of the contents was about £100.
She included over 50 items: among them batteries, a fire starter, a folding saw, water purification tablets, a compass, a map, high-calorie long-lasting food, a foil blanket, a tent, a wind-up radio, as well as a razor and shampoo.
According to the woman, her husband thinks the preparations are "ridiculous," but she believes everyone should be ready for an emergency. Friends joke that her suitcase contains a razor, as they think no one would consider shaving their legs in the event of a nuclear war. "You never know how things will turn out; you need to take care of comfort. If I have to live in the woods, I need to shave my armpits," Poland explains.
She referred to her suitcase as a "base." Separately, she prepared a bag with spare clothes and additional items. She posted a video of the emergency kit's contents on TikTok, which sparked active discussions on social media.
