Anastasia Zavorotnyuk passed away on May 29, 2024, at the age of 53, after a brave and prolonged battle with brain cancer. The terrible diagnosis became known in the fall of 2019, a year after the birth of her youngest daughter Mila, whose father is the actress's husband, figure skater Pyotr Chernyshev. Throughout her illness, information about Anastasia's health remained extremely scarce. Many believe this was due to Pyotr, who made every effort to shield his wife from unnecessary worries and attention. The figure skater was by his beloved's side until the very end; she passed away in his arms in hospice care. On June 1, the actress was buried at Troekurovsky Cemetery.

Anastasia and Pyotr's youngest daughter, Mila, is now seven years old. The girl shows a talent for figure skating, following in her father's footsteps, and even took to the ice with him once to honor the memory of her famous mother.
