Loud Scandal: Russian Model Kira Dikhtyar Accused of Recruiting for Jeffrey Epstein

In light of recent revelations involving the name of Jeffrey Epstein, Russian model Kira Dikhtyar has found herself in the spotlight. She is referred to as one of the "scouts" for the notorious billionaire, recruiting girls for his network. What is known about her role in this case?

Famous Russian model Kira Dikhtyar, whose face adorned the pages of Vogue Italia and Harper's Bazaar, as well as shining in the show The Face under Naomi Campbell, has found herself at the center of a loud scandal. According to recently released documents from the U.S. Department of Justice, Dikhtyar is listed as one of the "scouts" for the notorious billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, actively engaged in recruiting girls for his dubious purposes.

From a young age, Kira demonstrated outstanding abilities in rhythmic gymnastics, winning gold at the Junior Olympic Games in 1998 when she was just nine years old. After enrolling in the prestigious Moscow State University, she chose to drop out for a modeling career and moved to the U.S. at the age of 17. According to media reports, her contacts with Epstein began in 2009 when she turned 21.

According to information published in the media, Epstein regularly requested photos of potential "candidates" from the Russian woman. In 2012, Dikhtyar expressed her willingness to find a "cute gymnast in Kyiv" and even discussed how important it was to teach these girls to express "thank you" to Epstein for his "support." Additionally, she informed him about the imminent arrival of 17-year-old Belarusian model Irina Sumbayeva.

In their correspondence, other delicate topics arose, such as the age of the "candidates" ("Is 24 too much?") and the organization of "massages," including for Elon Musk in 2012. Dikhtyar assured that she would "organize everything," although it is unclear from the letters whether this service was ultimately provided.

The Story of Sanita

Particularly noteworthy is the story related to Dikhtyar's friend named Sanita, whose correspondence was also discovered in Epstein's archives. Kira introduced the financier to Sanita as an incredibly attractive St. Petersburg woman facing difficulties and hinted at the need to help her. This was followed by correspondence between Sanita and Epstein, in which the girl unexpectedly expressed her strong opinion, stating that an exchange of "services" for "massage" was unacceptable, calling it "wild and dirty." Kira quickly apologized for her friend, explaining that she "doesn't understand how the world works" and should be grateful to Epstein for opening doors to the world of wealthy and famous people, particularly introducing her to Woody Allen and other celebrities.

Contacts between Dikhtyar and Epstein ceased in 2016. Apparently, after 2022, the model, judging by her activity on social media, returned from the U.S. to Moscow.

Paradoxically, at one point, Kira began to actively position herself as a defender of women's rights. In 2021, she publicly shocked with a statement that at the age of 15 she became a victim of rape by Boris Berezovsky. After that, Dikhtyar actively advocated for exposing influential men who used their position to exploit minors. That same year, she became one of the key witnesses in the documentary series Chasing Ghislaine, dedicated to Epstein's crimes. In this project, she appeared as someone who observed the billionaire's criminal scheme from the "inside" and now seeks to reveal the truth about how the "elite" abused the position of young models. At the same time, she consistently claimed that Epstein himself never attempted to establish an intimate relationship with her.

After Epstein's files, containing correspondence with Dikhtyar, became public, former VGIK student Kristina Rebrik made a statement. She claimed that Kira tried to "sell" her to the billionaire when Kristina was only 18 years old. In an interview with Anton Krasovsky, Rebrik shared memories of how she refused to meet with Epstein and instead signed a modeling contract with China, where she spent four months. After her name also appeared in the scandalous correspondence, she stated that she began receiving threats from social media users.

Epstein's Russian Connection

It is no secret that the media has previously reported on Jeffrey Epstein's close ties to Russia and the countries of the former CIS. Apparently, he and his accomplices actively used Eastern Europe as a key source of "fresh faces" for their extensive network. The released documents mention specific Russian cities: Krasnodar, Sochi, Novosibirsk, Volgograd, Samara, Saratov, and Nizhny Novgorod. Scouts in correspondence with Epstein openly offered him "young blondes" from Russia, emphasizing their vulnerability and desire to move to the West. The girls were promised work visas, prestigious contracts with leading brands, and education funding. However, in reality, they were placed in Epstein's New York apartments, completely stripping them of financial and visa independence. There are even suggestions online about a connection between his network and the tragic death of Kazakh top model Ruslana Korshunova. The billionaire's last companion was Belarusian Karina Shulyak, to whom he bequeathed an incredible $100 million. Additionally, it is believed that Epstein actively sought to integrate into the Russian establishment, pursuing geopolitical influence.

What is Known About the Epstein Case

The case of Jeffrey Epstein is a story about the creation and management of an extensive network involving young women, and presumably children, in human trafficking. In 2019, the billionaire was charged with federal human trafficking offenses, but before a verdict could be reached, he was found dead in his jail cell. His closest accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, was convicted of aiding and recruiting victims, receiving a 20-year prison sentence in 2022. This investigation caused immense public resonance due to Epstein's close ties with high-ranking politicians, influential businessmen, and global celebrities. Released court documents revealed shocking details about the functioning of this network and named many individuals who maintained contacts with Epstein for decades. Among them are figures such as disgraced Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, and Bill Gates. The financier's contact list also included Leonardo DiCaprio, Naomi Campbell, Kevin Spacey, and Woody Allen.
