The ex-husband of Yulia Nachalova is bravely undergoing treatment for stomach cancer in Germany, relying on faith and the support of friends.
A Hard Fight Against Illness
Dmitry Bulykin, former striker of the Russian national team, shared fresh details about the condition of his colleague, Evgeny Aldonin. As it became known at the end of November 2025, the former CSKA midfielder faced a serious challenge – a cancerous disease.
The ex-husband of Yulia Nachalova preferred to keep his fight a secret, hoping to overcome the illness alone. By the time the information leaked, he had already been undergoing treatment for over a year. However, the disease turned out to be more insidious and aggressive than anticipated, forcing Evgeny to seek help and announce a fundraising campaign.
Despite a successfully performed surgery in Germany, stomach cancer is unfortunately known for its stealth. It does not show symptoms until it reaches late stages, when the tumor becomes so large that it starts to compress nerve endings, causing unbearable pain. Often by this time, metastasis to other organs has already occurred, significantly complicating treatment.
Expensive Treatment and Support
Dmitry Bulykin emphasized that Aldonin's treatment requires colossal financial investments, and help is constantly needed. At the initial stage, friends, colleagues, and concerned fans quickly responded to the trouble, raising an impressive 3 million rubles. However, medical procedures in Germany are incredibly expensive, so financial support remains vital.
The footballer is still abroad, continuing intensive treatment in Germany. Doctors are currently refraining from making any predictions, showing the usual caution found in oncology. Evgeny has already undergone numerous chemotherapy sessions, but the final victory over the disease has not yet been achieved.
"He is constantly undergoing surgeries and chemotherapy procedures. Of course, this affects both his body and mood. But he is holding on as a fighter, so we will see," Bulykin said to StarHit.
Support from Family
Evgeny's family is doing everything they can to support him in this difficult fight. His wife Olga, along with their children and his eldest daughter Vera, born from his marriage to Yulia Nachalova, are in constant contact with him. Olga regularly visits her husband, and the children, of course, miss him greatly and are eagerly awaiting his return home.
Vera Aldonina tries to avoid this acute topic. For her, this is the second major blow: at just 12 years old, she lost her mother, Yulia Nachalova, who died in a Moscow clinic due to blood poisoning and acute heart failure at the age of 38. At that time, Vera went to live with her grandparents, Yulia's parents, but her father was always nearby, and the girl lived between two homes.

And now – the illness of her father. After news of Evgeny's cancer diagnosis leaked to the media, Vera expressed deep gratitude to everyone who cares about his health and wishes him a speedy recovery. However, the family has decided not to provide any further comments on this matter.
"First of all, we want to thank everyone for their support. Our family has decided not to make any comments regarding the news about my dad's health, Evgeny Aldonin. Right now, we are waiting for only one comment – about his full recovery, which he will give himself. We all believe in this and pray for it," Vera wrote in her personal blog, expressing firm hope for the best.
