The girlfriend of Telegram founder Pavel Durov, Yulia Vavilova, explained why she has abandoned the Russian language in her social media and online broadcasts. She spoke about this on YouTube.
According to Vavilova, she communicates with her followers in English rather than Russian because she wants her message to be understood by an international audience, not just Russian speakers. “English is my favorite language. It is a language that everyone should know,” she added.
Durov's girlfriend also stated that it was difficult for her to learn English and get rid of her accent.
