Why are Zoomers refusing sex?
The Institute for Family Studies found that the share of people aged 18 to 29 who have no sexual relationships has increased from 12% to 24% over the past 15 years. Why has modern youth become less engaged in sex? Sexologist Anna Walker explained in an interview with RTVI US.
"Generation Z has a very high level of depression, anxiety, and fear. They had little offline socialization during their upbringing. People learn to flirt from childhood," she explains.
Experts believe that the decline in sexual activity is a serious cause for concern on a global scale. Regular sexual acts contribute to health, stronger marriages, and a higher level of happiness. However, sexologist Anna Walker believes that a decrease in sexual activity is not always a worrying sign.
"Sometimes less sex means more awareness, more conversations about boundaries and expectations, and less persuading the partner or oneself," the expert emphasized in an interview with RTVI US.
