“It Was Unbearable”: What Yulia Menshova Found in Vera Alentova's Apartment After Her Death 0 8

More than two months have passed since Vera Alentova's death. The actress's daughter, Yulia Menshova, continues to mourn her mother, sharing previously unknown facts about the last days of the star of the film "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears."

At the end of last year, Menshova became an orphan, and as she herself admits, the topic of death and saying goodbye to loved ones now deeply concerns her. Yulia was very close to both of her parents. Vladimir Menshov passed away in the summer of 2020, and Vera Alentova died at the end of 2025.

Reflecting on the topic of death, Menshova spoke about how, just before her passing, on the eve of the New Year, Alentova managed to take care of her relatives. When the actress was gone and Yulia entered her apartment, she found pre-prepared gifts there. The bags had neat labels: "To Yulia," "To Andrey," "To Tasa."

"It was unbearable because it highlighted the loss and what she was like so terribly," Menshova candidly admitted on her show. The star family did not immediately reveal the last gifts from Alentova. Instead, the bags were placed under the Christmas tree, and each recipient received their surprises as intended — on New Year's Eve.

"It was some kind of miracle. That she cared so much about it. And that she managed to send this greeting from herself. To manifest herself in this care for us," Menshova noted.
