Doctor Chechter urged to wash hands before and after using a public restroom.
General practitioner Nathan Chechter warned that gastrointestinal infections can be contracted in public restrooms. In a conversation with Metropoles, he revealed behavioral rules that can help avoid the onset of various diseases.
"The greatest risk is associated with contact with contaminated surfaces and inadequate hand hygiene," emphasized Chechter. According to him, the transmission of infections through airborne particles is also possible, especially in poorly ventilated areas, but this occurs much less frequently.
In this regard, the doctor urged people to wash their hands thoroughly both before and after using a public restroom. Additionally, they can treat their hands with a special disinfectant. Furthermore, it is important to use disposable toilet seat covers. In conclusion, Chechter urged avoiding touching the intimate area with dirty hands.
