After Brooklyn Beckham's sharp statements about pressure and control from his parents, David Beckham commented on the situation and emphasized: mistakes are part of children's growth.
The conflict in the family of the footballer and designer has been ongoing since 2022. At the World Economic Forum in Davos, the former footballer gave a restrained interview to CNBC, where he indirectly touched on the topic of disagreements with 26-year-old Brooklyn.
"I have always talked about social media and its influence... both in a good and a bad way," Beckham noted, refusing to give direct comments regarding the family conflict.
Earlier, Brooklyn published a series of stories in which he stated that his parents controlled his life and tried to influence his relationship with his wife Nicola Peltz. According to him, "the family values insincere public appearances more than real relationships" and "love is measured by posts on social media."
David emphasized that he does not consider the disagreements insurmountable: "They make mistakes, but children are allowed to make mistakes. That’s how they learn." According to British media, Victoria Beckham also declined to comment on the situation, while sources close to the family hope for reconciliation.
Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz got married in the spring of 2022. After the wedding, relations with their parents deteriorated: the couple stopped attending family events and, according to media reports, completely ceased communication with David and Victoria.
