TikTok summarized the musical year and named the artists, tracks, and trends that had the most impact on the global community of the platform.

According to the official statement, this year 8 out of the 10 songs that reached No. 1 on Billboard first went viral on TikTok. The main artist of the year is the multicultural group Katseye, whose songs received over 30 billion views and 12 million video creations. The hits "Gnarly" and "Gabriela" sparked global dance challenges, joined by top K-pop artists and stars like Camila Cabello. The viral tracks led the group to their first Grammy nominations.

The track of the year is "Pretty Little Baby" by Connie Francis. The 1962 song unexpectedly became the most widespread audio trend of the year (over 28 million uses and more than 68 billion views). Family and heartwarming videos gave new life to the hit, with Kylie Jenner's video with her daughter Stormi gathering over 132 million views. The track made it to the Billboard Global 200 and became Connie Francis's most popular song on streaming platforms.

The title of the most saved artist went to Taylor Swift. The Add to Music App feature, allowing users to save music from TikTok to streaming services, earned her the status of global leader in the number of saved tracks in 2025. The album "The Life of a Showgirl" was widely saved even before its release, creating one of the largest fan hype of the year.

The track "back to friends" by sombr was saved the most. The song went viral at the beginning of the year, received 7.7 million video creations and over 21 billion views, after which it entered the Spotify Billions Club and earned the singer his first Grammy nomination.

The most saved album was "So Close To What" by Tate McRae. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.

The music trend of the year is "Anxiety" by Doechii. The song, which grew out of a TikTok demo from 2019, became a dance explosion in 2025. The trend recreated the legendary dance from "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," featuring Will Smith, Tatiana Ali, and Doechii herself. Anxiety gathered 10.4 million videos and over 51 billion views, reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, and earned the artist five Grammy nominations.

The songwriter of the year is EJAE. The composer and vocalist from New York became a key figure in the soundtrack to the hit "KPop Demon Hunters." Her song "Golden" set TikTok records (nearly 10 million videos and 23.6 billion views) and topped global charts. EJAE also worked on songs for Red Velvet, aespa, TWICE, LE SSERAFIM, and other K-pop stars.
