"When George goes to middle school, he may get a phone without internet access."

Not much is known about the private life of the Prince and Princess of Wales. But the details that have become public raise questions among fans of the royal family. For example, why are William and Kate's children not allowed to use phones?

In today's technological age, smartphones are appearing for some almost from infancy, and debates about the harm or benefits of gadgets have been ongoing for years. However, in the family of the future King of the United Kingdom, things are strict: even 12-year-old Prince George does not have a phone. Let alone 10-year-old Charlotte and 7-year-old Louis. Meanwhile, the Prince of Wales himself admits that his position is already causing problems.

"Our children do not have phones. And, to be honest, it is becoming quite a stressful issue. When George goes to middle school, he may get a phone without internet access. But I think he understands why. We explain why we think it’s wrong," William said in an interview with TV host Luciano Huck at the COP30 summit in Rio de Janeiro.

The principles of Charles III's eldest son in this case are so firm that even Kate Middleton cannot influence her husband. However, it is unlikely that the Princess of Wales herself wants to change anything. Because the couple fears that their heirs might accidentally stumble upon explicit photos of their mother that were taken many years ago.

These are photos in which Middleton was captured topless in 2012 during a vacation in France with William. Thirteen years have passed since then, and the Waleses have long won a lawsuit against the publication that took those shots. However, the photos still remain on the internet, and there is nothing that can be done about it. Thus, this long-standing scandalous story has influenced William in his desire to limit his children in everything related to going online.

"William and Kate's decision is not only about limiting screen time but also about wanting to protect their children from pain. Kate has been living with the trauma that those topless photos caused her since 2012. The thought that George or Charlotte might someday come across them online is her worst nightmare," a royal insider reported.

Of course, it is not only about the once-controversial photos of Middleton. William is very keen to shield Princes George and Louis, as well as Princess Charlotte, from the toxic side of the internet: bullying, gossip, and so on. Royal insiders also say that the future king fears that his and Kate's children might learn the details of the sordid story about their cousin Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's connection with Jeffrey Epstein. The Princess of Wales supports her husband.

"Kate is determined that her children will grow up balanced and protected from the same intrusive world that once caused her pain. For her, it is not just a rule — it is a way to ensure their safety," the source conveyed.
