"And suddenly she starts talking nonsense."
The host of Russia's Channel One, Valdis Pelsh, shared how the popular show "Rozigrysh" ruined his relationship with the People's Artist of the USSR, Alla Pugacheva.
According to interviewer Laura Djugelia, many artists at that time were afraid of becoming a victim of a prank, to which Pelsh stated: "I ruined my relationship with Alla Borisovna." He explained that once a collector friend of his needed to borrow an item that belonged to Alla Pugacheva, so he decided to contact the singer directly.
"I called. I said: 'Alla Borisovna, here's the story, this is my personal request, I know this person very well, he is indeed a serious collector.' And suddenly she starts talking nonsense, that it's somewhere at the dacha, that it needs to be picked up, that she hasn't been there for three months... Well... well... well... just say no, and that's it. Why do you have to do this?" Valdis Pelsh shared.
The host noted that later singer Philip Kirkorov explained to him that Pugacheva was convinced he would prank her. "That's why she, so to speak, acted foolishly," Pelsh concluded.
Earlier, the host of the program "Men and Women," Alexander Gordon, sharply criticized Alla Pugacheva. He questioned the scale of her personality. The reason for such a reaction was a question about whether Gordon watches interviews of his colleagues. The journalist cited a recent interview with Pugacheva, her first after leaving Russia. To this, Gordon reacted: "Pugacheva? The scale of the person? The main mafia figure of our stage? No way. She doesn't concern me at all. She hasn't for about 35 years," the host stated.
