Prokhor Shalyapin stated that Philip Kirkorov called him his karmic brother.
Singer and showman Prokhor Shalyapin spoke about his friendship with the People's Artist of Russia Philip Kirkorov. He shared this in an interview with journalist Ksenia Sobchak, available on YouTube.
According to Shalyapin, he became friends with Kirkorov in the 2000s. The artist noted that Philip gifted him clothes and treated him like a brother.
"He told me: 'You are my karmic brother.' Because we have something in common," Shalyapin explained. At the same time, the singer emphasized that he lacked the flexibility and ability to "bite down" or "fall to his knees" when necessary, unlike Kirkorov.
The performer added that the friendship did not last long, as Philip Kirkorov saw him as a competitor. Additionally, in 2007, Shalyapin became involved in the conflict between Kirkorov and producer Yana Rudkovskaya. "They made up in three days, and I became the enemy," the singer stated.
It was previously reported that Shalyapin called the artist Alla Pugacheva, who left Russia, a controversial figure.
