Robbie Williams has been forced to cancel the final concert of his tour in Turkey due to concerns over a terrorist threat, reports the Daily Mail. The musician informed his fans that the decision to cancel the performance "got out of control."

The 51-year-old performer of the hit "Angels" reached out to fans and explained that he had no choice but to cancel the concert in Istanbul.

Robbie stated: "I am very sorry that I will not be able to perform in Istanbul next week. The city authorities canceled the show in the interest of public safety. I would never want to put my fans at risk — their safety always comes first. We were looking forward to the first performance in Istanbul and specifically chose this city as the closing show of the BRITPOP tour."

He added: "It was a dream for me to finish this grand tour in Turkey, especially considering my family's close ties to this amazing country. I deeply regret to all in Istanbul who wanted to join the 1.2 million people who have already seen this phenomenal tour this year. We were very much looking forward to this performance, but the decision to cancel was not up to us."

Robbie was scheduled to perform on October 7 at Atakoy Marina — on the day of the second anniversary of the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel. According to the local publication Turkiye Today, the organizers canceled the show due to potential security threats and the risk of public backlash.
