Scandal in Paris: Meghan Markle Accused of Disrespecting Lady Di«s Memory

The Duchess of Sussex arrived at Paris Fashion Week. Returning from the show, Meghan Markle threw her legs up while passing the tunnel where Lady Di died.

Meghan Markle was criticized for a short video filmed in Paris. The wife of Prince Harry posted a clip where she threw her legs up in a limousine while passing near the Alma Tunnel – the very place where Princess Diana tragically died.

The trip to Europe was Meghan's first in two years. The occasion was the Balenciaga show at Paris Fashion Week – the debut show of Pierpaolo Piccioli, with whom the Duchess is friends. For the public appearance, Markle chose a pristine white outfit, and for the evening, she changed into a form-fitting black dress. Later, she shared a series of videos about her trip, where the unfortunate footage appeared.

In the video, the Duchess of Sussex is relaxing in the limousine, filming the lights of Paris from the car window. It seemed like an ordinary moment – if not for the symbolic location she was passing by. Users quickly noticed that the Alma Tunnel, where her husband's mother, Princess Diana, died in 1997, was nearby.

The video sparked a furious reaction. Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams called the act "stunning" and "senselessly insensitive." On social media, the Duchess was accused of cynicism and a lack of tact.

"Is she in her right mind?" "How can one behave like this near a site of tragedy?" – wrote outraged commentators.

Many bloggers called Meghan an "American psycho." "Is she even aware? Legs up in the limousine when a tragedy happened nearby?" "She either doesn't understand what she's doing, or she simply doesn't know where her mother-in-law died," users expressed their outrage online.

Royal family fans believe that such antics are ruining Meghan's reputation in the eyes of the public, and some even suggested that this gesture was a "hidden message" to the Windsors.
