On July 8, in Riga, at Miera Street 22, one of the tastiest festivals of the summer will once again take place—the Laima Chocolate Festival, dedicated to International Chocolate Day. The organizers have prepared a rich program for the whole family that will combine music, creativity, and, of course, beloved sweets.
The celebration will begin at 6:00 PM and last until late evening. The stage will feature the children's vocal group Dzeguzīte, singer Tipa, popular band Astro’n’out, and the legend of Latvian pop music, Georges Siksna. DJ Plastic will be responsible for the good mood and dance rhythms.
Guests can look forward to a variety of workshops and interactive entertainment. Visitors will have the opportunity to try their hand at the art of origami, take memorable photos in a themed photo zone, and relax in specially equipped rest areas.
Special attention will, of course, be paid to the gastronomic part of the event. The festival grounds will host food stalls offering a wide selection of treats—from traditional sweets to hearty dishes. Participants include Uguns Café, Bergi Food, Vīnkalni Ceļojošā Picērija, Molberts ice cream, Waffles in the Air, and other producers of delicious food. Drinks for guests will be provided by Holy Sip.
The Chocolate Museum will also offer its own festive program. On this day, it will extend its hours and invite visitors to participate in themed quizzes, games, and educational activities dedicated to the history of chocolate.
The Laima Chocolate Festival has been held in Latvia since 2012 and has already become one of the favorite summer traditions for Riga residents and visitors to the capital. The International Chocolate Day was first celebrated in France in 1995, after which the holiday quickly gained popularity in many countries around the world.
For lovers of chocolate, music, and family recreation, this will be a great reason to spend a warm July evening in a special festive atmosphere.
