The most prestigious Latvian competition for young classical music performers "Inese Galante Talents" is starting, held annually by the "Inese Galante Fund" in collaboration with the faculty of the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music and with the support of significant partners and patrons.

Vocalists and instrumentalists from around the world are invited to participate, playing keyboard, string, wind, or percussion instruments. Applications can also be submitted by laureates and participants of previous years' competitions. Videos of musical performances and candidate questionnaires are accepted on the official competition website www.inesesgalantestalanti.lv until October 19. Participation is free.

The competition will traditionally take place in two stages: in the first round, the jury will evaluate the video applications of participants and will announce the performers who have reached the finals on November 1. On November 2, public voting will begin on the official project website, which will determine the winner of the "Audience Favorite" nomination. The final of the competition and the award ceremony for the laureates will take place on November 28 in the Small Hall of the Dzintari Concert Hall.

Laureates of the "Inese Galante Talents" competition will receive cash prizes, scholarships, master classes with renowned artists, and other valuable awards from project partners and patrons.

The Nākotnes Atbalsta fonds (Future Support Fund), established by Rietumu Bank, has supported the competition since its inception. Thanks to this collaboration, laureates in each category will receive prizes: 200 euros for third place, 300 euros for second place, and winners will receive a cash prize of 400 euros. Additionally, cash rewards of 100 euros are given to the teachers of the first-place winners in each category.

"Every year it is a pleasure to see how many talented and determined young musicians are growing and developing in Latvia. Our collaboration with the Inese Galante Fund is especially valuable to us, as it provides an opportunity to be close to young talents at the beginning of their journey, to support them, and to inspire them to believe in themselves. Over time, the competition has become a platform where young artists can not only showcase their skills but also gain experience, professional support, and momentum for further growth. We are pleased to be part of this story. I urge young performers to take this opportunity and apply for the competition. Sometimes, just one bold step can be the beginning of a great and significant journey," says Inga Šina, Chairwoman of the Board of the Nākotnes Atbalsta fonds.

Winning the competition opens up wonderful opportunities – young performers receive invitations to participate in annual musical events organized by the Inese Galante Fund, including the "Christmas Prelude" concerts, events within the framework of the international award "Baltijas Balva / Baltic Awards," and other prestigious events.
